Specializing in starting youngsters under saddle, with ground preparation, long lining and good horse citizenship.

Simrat Khalsa’s basis in horsemanship is in dressage and some eventing growing up in upstate NY. As an adult, she became very interested in the relationship aspects of riding horses. Acquiring her first Spanish Barb horse, Choctaw Lily, was the start of learning a new way. Research was done into the roots of natural horsemanship, with time spent learning from Emmett Brislawn, a master with horses. Simrat blends techniques from various sources to find what works for each horse. In the last few years, she has been studying Connected Riding, showing in Working Equitation, and more recently started some work in French classical style dressage.

Simrat’s goal in working with a horse is to increase their intelligence and curiosity, create safe and willing partners, while enhancing the horse’s physical, mental, and emotional well being.
