Cobriza had a bath today. The first soapy bath that I've given her. She stood well for it, even letting me scrub her tail down to the skin. She might have even enjoyed part of it. Then it was on to take conformation photos.

I couldn't bear to turn out a clean horse to roll straight away, so I sat in front of the barn chatting for an hour or so with her on the lead. People came by to pet her and talk and she settled in to doze. It was good for her. Later, I turned her out in the large hay pasture for the first time. She had a good run! Lily and Paisano weren't very happy to still be in their paddocks though.

Then I worked a bit more on getting her used to her new sheet. Previously, I had touched her sides and laid it across her back folded up. Today, she was cautious at first, but once it was on, she was okay with it, after twitching all over for a minute or so. So we walked around a little for her to get used to the feeling. She impresses me with how fast she adjusts to new things.

It was a nice day spending time with Cora. She is a sweet mare.
